Moving down south

At the age of one, I moved from my village in the Yorkshire dales. My mum was feeling home sick as her family were in the south east.

So, we moved to be closer to her parents. My dad parents live up north still and we do try to visit them but that not that often as it costs a lot to get a hotel for 6 of us.

There was times that I lived on people’s sofas as we couldn’t afford a house yet. I was living on a sofa in Dorset with someone who my dad knew.

When we got our first place in the south, it was in a horrible flat building which had very mentally sick people and criminals. It was awful, so we moved out to a motel for three months before we got a house I’m the village where I live now.
