WHO IS MIANNA WICK?
She is making her way to Verizon Indycar series driving an IndyCar now. She is 19 years old, and has a B.A. in Small Business at Sheffield State University, Majoring in Marketing. She has been racing for a total of 6 years, 2 and a half of which have been in Formula cars. She is currently a team driver for the Loophole Racing team with crew chief David Hoffpauir and consultant Bud Hoffpauir.
HOW DO YOU TRY TO MAKE YOURSELF DIFFERENT FROM OTHER DRIVERS?
All though most people believe that being female in a male dominated sport is what makes me standout and differ from other drivers, I believe the difference is where my focus is. Racing is a huge mental sport, and I believe that that attribute is what makes the difference between the good drivers, and those that set records. I believe that I differ from other drivers because I am focused on being the best driver I can be, not beating someone else, or taking the path most walked. I go out and focus on what I need to do to be fast and get to where I need to go. I differ from other drivers because I have Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that wherever He may lead me and the doors He may open up – no matter where that ends up, I will have accomplished my goal. With that sort of mindset, the journey has no bounds, and accomplishments I thought ought not possible, becomes the possible. Living by Faith is what makes me different from all the other drivers.
ANY DRIVERS INSPIRE YOU LIKE DANICA PATRICK?
I have a huge respect for women in the sport because they were able to breakdown the walls of previously set bounds (whether physical, or perceptional bounds). I respect them because they believed in thererself enough to never give up. That is something that is very admirable in my book. However, the drivers that inspire me the most are those who are truly happy with where they are and their accomplishments. Personally, I think drivers like Helio Castroneves are the ones who inspire me the most because they never lost their “child’s dream” spirit. Those drivers that are truly happy make me smile to this day because they remind me why I started racing to begin with. That is something I never want to loose.
AND, WELL WHERE DO YOU HOPE TO RACE IN?
My end goal right now is the Verizon Series. The way the series has set up their atmosphere is something I want to be apart of. I love the fans, the tight racing, and the feel of the open-wheel cars. The Verizon IndyCar Series is a series that I believe has captured it all. So that is where my goal is to be someday.

I hope to see Mianna on track in IndyCar as it would inspire a lot of girls that they can do what they dream about. She is honestly inspiring to me, as when I was younger I dreamed about racing in F1 and Indy Car.
