British Driver, Jamie Chadwick has claimed a historic first win of the all-new W Series which took place at Hockenheim.

she started from pole position and had an early lead but in drying track conditions which had previously had some heavy rain.  She ran wide on a hairpin on the opening lap which handed the lead to another British racer, Sarah Moore.

There was a crash on the first lap between Emma Kimilainen and Megan Gilkes which made both drivers out of the race, but at the restart, Chadwick didn’t waste any time in regaining the lead with a move at Turn 2 which put her back in the lead.

Powell managed to overtake Moore and that put her in second place, she was catching up to Chadwick but held back for a bit. She spent some of the race battling 18-year-old Marta Garcia, who completed the podium with a third place.

Beitske Visser ended the race in fourth, ahead of Moore -who had run wide at the hairpin and lost some places after the restart. Sadly Moore could not make a move on Visser and she crossed the line in fifth. Wohlwend followed Moore behind in sixth.

Miki Koyama had a very impressive race to finish seventh, fighting her way through the field from starting 17th on the grid which was impressive. Behind her in eighth was Tasmin Pepper who also fought their way in the race from 16th in Eight.

Gosia Rdest who started in 10th managed to make one place up to finish ninth, while Australian driver Caitlin Wood rounded off the top ten.
