Dutch racing driver, Max Verstappen wins the Austrian Grand Prix meanwhile Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel takes the championship lead once again. Kimi Raikkonen finished second meanwhile his teammate came third.

Valtteri Bottas who was on pole suffered a gearbox issue which means that he was the second driver to retire from the race after the first retirement was Nico Hulkenberg. Daniel Ricciardo suffered a gearbox issues and Toro Rosso’s Brandon Hartley retired from the race because of a mechanical issue. Four time would Champion, Lewis Hamilton retired from the race due to a loss of power and he didn’t have must fuel pressure.

The first sign of Bottas’ failure came when his gearbox refused to swap cogs under braking for Turn 3 on lap 14. There was a loss of hydraulic pressure which caused the gearbox to seize when he went into Turn 4 he had pulled off in the run off area and into retirement. Race control decided to deploy a VSC which could mean that that the car could be recovered.

On Lap 63, Hamilton started complaining about a loss of power and he  pulled off the track with a loss of fuel pressure. This was his first retirement since the 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix.

Romain Grosjean finished four, his teammate Kevin Magnussen finished in fifth. Sergio Perez finished in sixth and his teammate Esteban Ocon finished seventh. Both of the Sauber drivers made it into the points as Charles Leclerc came ninth and his teammate Marcus Ericsson came tenth. Mclaren’s Fernando Alonso came eight which is what the Mclaren fans would like to see.
